What is the latest time I can enter the yard or check out?

How can I contact Bluegrass U Pull & Save?
Call or text the Lexington team at (859) 586-3505 during regular business hours.
Is there an admission fee?
Yes. Admission to the Lexington yard is $3 per person.
Which payment methods do you accept for admission and parts?
The Lexington location accepts cash, cards and store credit for yard admission and parts purchases.
How old do I need to be to enter the yard?
Customers must be at least 16 years old to enter the yard.
Do I need to sign a waiver before entering the yard?
Yes. Every customer must sign a waiver before entering the self-service yard.
Why is there an admission fee?
The admission fee helps offset the insurance costs involved in keeping a self-service salvage yard open to the public.
Is Bluegrass U Pull & Save a self-service yard?
Yes. Bluegrass U Pull & Save is a self-service salvage yard. Customers locate the vehicle they need, inspect the part and remove it using their own tools.
Will employees/staff pull or transport parts for me?
No. Our team does not pull or transport parts for customers. Please bring the tools and help you will need, especially if you plan to remove a large or heavy part.
Are carts, wheelbarrows or loading equipment available?
Yes. Carts, wheelbarrows and loading equipment may be available on a first-come, first-served basis. During busy periods, you may need to wait for equipment to become available. You are also welcome to bring your own cart or wheelbarrow.
What should I bring to the yard?
Bring the tools needed to remove your part. We also recommend closed-toe shoes, work gloves, safety glasses, weather-appropriate clothing and penetrating spray. Bring a friend or helper if you plan to remove something large or heavy.
Do you sell or rent tools?
A small selection of tools may be available for purchase. Floor jacks and four-way lug wrenches may also be available to rent on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability is not guaranteed, so it is best to bring your own tools.
What tools are not allowed in the yard?
Torches, grinders and any tool that produces sparks or flames are not permitted. Scissor jacks, bottle jacks and bumper jacks are also prohibited. Floor jacks are allowed.
What other safety rules should I know?
Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the premises. Pets must remain on a leash, and aggressive animals are prohibited. Bags and boxes may be checked when entering and leaving the yard.
Can I repair my vehicle in the parking lot?
We recommend that customers do not perform vehicle repairs in the parking lot. We understand that limited work may occasionally be necessary to make a vehicle movable. Any such work must stop when the gate closes; if it is not finished by then, you will need to return the next day.
Can I bring a part into the yard for comparison?
Yes, but it must be checked in and marked by a cashier before you enter. An unmarked part may be treated as yard inventory and may need to be paid for when you leave.
Finding Vehicles and Used Auto Parts
How can I check whether you have the part I need?
Start by searching the current Lexington vehicle inventory by year, make and model. The inventory shows vehicles listed in the yard, not every individual part still attached to them. If you see a matching vehicle, visit the yard to inspect the part in person because parts are available first come, first served.
Does the online inventory show individual parts?
No. The online inventory tracks vehicles rather than every part remaining on each vehicle. A vehicle appearing online does not guarantee that a particular engine, transmission, wheel, body panel, interior component or other part is still attached.
Can staff confirm that a particular part is still on a vehicle?
Usually, no. Customers remove parts throughout the day, and parts may be moved or left elsewhere without staff being notified. The most reliable approach is to find a matching vehicle online and inspect it in person.
Why can’t you maintain a live list of the parts left on each vehicle?
Because the Lexington location is a self-service yard, part availability changes throughout the day as customers pull what they need. It is not practical to maintain an exact, real-time list of every component remaining on every vehicle.
How many vehicles are usually in the Lexington yard?
The Lexington yard generally has approximately 450 to 550 vehicles available at a time. The exact number changes as vehicles are added and removed.
How long do vehicles stay in the yard?
Vehicles typically remain in the yard for about 60 to 90 days, although timing can vary based on available space and inventory movement. If you see a vehicle that may have the part you need, consider visiting soon because neither the vehicle nor a specific part can be guaranteed.
How can I tell whether a part will fit my vehicle?
Use the Lexington Parts Interchange tool to find vehicles that may use a compatible part. Fitment can still vary by engine, transmission, trim, drivetrain, production date, body style, factory options, connectors and part numbers. Compare the original part carefully before purchasing; interchange results do not guarantee fitment or availability.
Can I reserve a vehicle or part?
Vehicles and parts are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be guaranteed until the part is purchased.
Parts Prices, Core Charges and Fees
Where can I find current used part prices?
Visit the Lexington Parts Prices page before coming to the yard. You can filter the list by part name. The page shows the base price, core charge (when applicable), environmental fee, and total (before taxes).
Are all parts priced individually?
Most parts are priced individually. An assembly may include attached components that are priced separately. Selected combination deals may be available for certain items, so ask a cashier before pulling a complete assembly if you are unsure how it will be priced.
Are taxes and additional fees included in the displayed part price?
The online price list separates the base part price from the core charge (when applicable), environmental fee, and total (before taxes). Prices and fees are subject to change. Check the current price listing or ask a cashier before pulling if you need clarification.
What is a core charge?
A core is your old part. A core charge is added to certain purchases to encourage customers to return the old part so it can be recycled, rebuilt or reused. If you return an eligible core within the allowed period, the core amount can be refunded according to the core-return requirements.
How long do I have to return a core?
Eligible cores may be returned within 90 days of the original purchase date. You must bring the original receipt.
What do I need when returning a core?
Bring the eligible old part and your original receipt within 90 days of purchase. If the original purchase was made by credit card, bring the same card. If that card is not available, the refund will be issued as store credit.
Does a returned core need to work?
No. A core does not need to be in working condition, but it must meet the return requirements for that part category.
Are there special requirements for wheel cores?
Yes. The wheel core must be made of the same material as the wheel purchased: aluminum for an aluminum wheel or steel for a steel wheel. A disposal fee may apply if a returned wheel still has a tire attached.
Returns, Exchanges and Warranty Options
Are self-service parts tested before sale?
Most self-service auto parts are sold as pulled and are not individually tested or inspected before sale. Customers should inspect parts carefully before removing and purchasing them.
What should I inspect before buying a part?
Check for visible cracks, corrosion, broken mounting points, damaged connectors, missing components and fluid leaks. Compare measurements, connectors, part numbers, engine details, trim and factory options with the part being replaced.
What if the part I buy does not work?
Most eligible parts may be exchanged or returned for in-store credit within 30 days of purchase, subject to the return-policy requirements. Cash refunds are not available.
What do I need to return or exchange a part?
You must bring the original receipt. The part must have the current yard paint markings visible and must be returned complete and in the same condition in which it was purchased. Broken, altered or damaged returns may not be accepted unless the damage was documented when the part was sold.
Can I return an eligible part at another Road Tested Parts location?
Yes. An eligible part may be returned at another self-service Pick-A-Part location operated by Road Tested Parts, provided it meets the standard return requirements. Bring the original receipt, and make sure the current yard paint markings remain visible on the part.
Does store credit expire?
Yes. Store credit expires 365 days from the date it is issued.
Do you offer an extended warranty?
An optional extended warranty may be available for purchase on eligible parts. It provides up to 90 days from the purchase date to exchange an eligible part or return it for store credit, subject to the warranty terms. Ask the cashier whether the option is available for the part you are buying.
Is the extended-warranty charge refundable?
No. The amount paid for the warranty itself is non-refundable.
What is the return policy for used tires?
Used tires have a separate 5-day return period. Keep your receipt and ask a cashier about the complete tire return requirements before purchasing.
Do used batteries include a warranty?
Used batteries are tested before sale and currently include a 30-day warranty, subject to the battery warranty and return requirements. Keep your receipt and ask the cashier what remedy applies if a battery does not work during the warranty period.
Do all parts follow the standard return or extended-warranty period?
No. Tires follow a separate 5-day return or exchange policy rather than the standard parts return period. Keep your receipt and ask a cashier about the complete tire-return requirements before purchasing.
Selling a Vehicle to Bluegrass U Pull & Save
What types of vehicles do you buy?
Bluegrass U Pull & Save buys many unwanted cars, trucks, vans, SUVs and motorcycles, including damaged, non-running and long-sitting vehicles. Acceptance depends on the vehicle details, location, condition and ownership documentation. We do not buy campers or RVs.
Do you buy vehicles that do not run or are missing parts?
Yes, many non-running vehicles and vehicles with missing parts may be considered. Be accurate about missing major components such as the engine, transmission, catalytic converter, wheels or tires because these details can affect the offer.
How do I get an offer for my vehicle?
Complete the Lexington Sell My Car form or call or text (859) 586-3505. Be prepared to provide the vehicle’s year, make, model, condition, running status, location, missing components and ownership-document status.
How much will you pay for my vehicle?
Every vehicle is different. Offers can vary based on the vehicle’s year, make, model, condition, location, missing major components, current demand and scrap-market conditions. Submit the vehicle details to receive a no-obligation quote.
Do you offer vehicle pickup and free towing?
Yes. Free towing is available for accepted vehicles within 55 miles of the Lexington store. Submit the vehicle details and location first so the team can review the vehicle and confirm pickup availability.
Do I need a title to sell my vehicle?
A lien-free title is generally required. It must be in your name or properly assigned or notarized to you, depending on the state that issued it. Contact the team before scheduling pickup if the owner’s name or title information does not match.
Can a current Kentucky registration be used instead of a title?
A current Kentucky registration may be accepted in certain situations, but only Monday through Friday on non-holidays. The team must review and approve the ownership documents before purchasing the vehicle.
Can I sell a vehicle with only a bill of sale?
No. A bill of sale by itself cannot be accepted as proof of ownership.
What should I do if I lost the title?
You may need to request a duplicate title from the state that issued the original title. Call or text the Lexington team at (859) 586-3505 to ask what documents will be needed before arranging the sale or pickup.
Can I sell more than one vehicle?
Yes. Provide complete details for each vehicle so the team can review and quote them separately.
How will I be paid for an accepted vehicle?
Payment is made by check during an approved drop-off or pickup. The team will confirm the offer, required documents and payment details before completing the purchase.
Vehicle Alerts, VIP Rewards and Specials
How can I be notified when a vehicle I need arrives?
Sign up for Lexington Vehicle Text Alerts and select the vehicles you want to follow. An alert tells you that a matching vehicle has arrived; it does not guarantee that a specific part will remain attached or that the vehicle will still be available when you visit.
What is the Bluegrass VIP rewards program?
Bluegrass VIP Rewards provides participating customers with notices about sales, coupons, parts discounts, free-entry offers, special events, store announcements and other available benefits. Offers and benefits may change.
Where can I find current specials and discounts?
Check the Lexington Specials page, follow Bluegrass U Pull & Save on Facebook and join VIP Rewards. Promotions may be time-limited, location-specific and subject to individual offer terms.
Can promotions be combined or applied to taxes, core charges and fees?
Most promotions cannot be combined with another sale, coupon or discount unless the offer says otherwise. Discounts generally apply only to eligible parts; taxes, core charges, environmental fees, disposal fees and other charges may be excluded. Review the terms of the specific promotion before purchasing.
