RTP Pick-A-Part is located at 3978 NC-16 Maiden, NC 28650, convenient to customers from Catawba County, Hickory, Newton and the greater Charlotte area. Get directions to the Maiden yard.

The Maiden yard is open Mon-Sun 8am-5pm. Hours may change for holidays or severe weather, so check the website or the Maiden location's Facebook page for special-hour announcements before visiting.

Customers must enter the yard by 5:00 PM. If you entered before 5:00 PM, you have until 5:30 PM to bring your parts to the front and complete checkout.

Call or text the Maiden team at (828) 673-8433 during regular business hours.

Yes. Admission to the Maiden yard is $3 per person.

The Maiden location accepts cash, cards and store credit for yard admission and parts purchases.

Customers must be at least 16 years old to enter the yard. A valid photo ID may be required.

Yes. Every customer must sign a waiver before entering the self-service yard.

The admission fee helps offset the insurance costs involved in keeping a self-service salvage yard open to the public.

Yes. RTP Pick-A-Part is a self-service auto salvage yard. Customers locate the vehicle they need, inspect the part and remove it using their own tools.

No. Our team does not pull or transport parts for customers. Please bring the tools and help you will need, especially if you plan to remove a large or heavy part.

Yes. Carts, wheelbarrows and loading equipment may be available on a first-come, first-served basis. During busy periods, you may need to wait for equipment to become available. You are also welcome to bring your own cart or wheelbarrow.

Bring the tools needed to remove your part. We also recommend closed-toe shoes, work gloves, safety glasses, weather-appropriate clothing and penetrating spray. Bring a friend or helper if you plan to remove something large or heavy.

A small selection of tools may be available for purchase. Floor jacks and four-way lug wrenches may also be available to rent on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability is not guaranteed, so it is best to bring your own tools.

Torches, grinders and any tool that produces sparks or flames are not permitted. Scissor jacks, bottle jacks and bumper jacks are also prohibited. Floor jacks are allowed.

Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the premises. Pets must remain on a leash, and aggressive animals are prohibited. Bags, boxes and tool containers may be checked when entering and leaving the yard. Closed-toe shoes, work gloves and safety glasses are strongly recommended.

Yes, but the part must be checked in and marked by a cashier before you enter. An unmarked part may be treated as yard inventory and may need to be paid for when you leave.

No. Customer vehicles are not permitted inside the self-service yard. Park in the designated customer parking area and use a cart or wheelbarrow to move tools and parts.

We recommend that customers do not perform vehicle repairs in the parking lot. We understand that limited work may occasionally be necessary to make a vehicle movable. Any such work must stop when the gate closes; if it is not finished by then, you will need to return the next day.

Start by searching the current Maiden vehicle inventory by year, make and model. The inventory shows vehicles listed in the yard, not every individual part still attached to them. If you see a matching vehicle, visit the yard to inspect the part in person because availability can change throughout the day.

No. The online inventory tracks vehicles rather than every component remaining on each vehicle. A vehicle appearing online does not guarantee that a particular engine, transmission, wheel, body panel, interior component or other part is still attached.

Usually, no. Customers remove parts throughout the day, and parts may be moved without staff being notified. The most reliable approach is to find a matching vehicle online and inspect it in person.

Because Maiden is a self-service yard, part availability changes throughout the day as customers pull what they need. It is not practical to maintain an exact, real-time list of every component remaining on every vehicle.

Yes. Once you arrive, the team can help direct you to the row or area where a listed vehicle is located. Staff cannot guarantee that a particular part is still attached and do not remove parts for customers.

The Maiden yard generally has approximately 450 to 550 vehicles available at a time. The exact number changes as vehicles are added and removed.

Vehicles typically remain in the yard for about 60 to 90 days, although timing can vary based on space, inventory movement and processing schedules. If you see a vehicle that may have the part you need, consider visiting soon because neither the vehicle nor a specific part can be guaranteed.

New vehicles are added regularly, but arrival and processing schedules vary. Check the online inventory frequently or sign up for Maiden Vehicle Text Alerts to be notified when a matching vehicle is added.

Use the Maiden Parts Interchange tool to identify vehicles that may use a compatible part. Fitment can still vary by engine, transmission, trim, drivetrain, production date, body style, factory options, connectors and part numbers. Compare the original part carefully before purchasing; interchange results do not guarantee fitment or availability.

Parts are generally available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be guaranteed until purchased. Contact the Maiden team before making a special trip if you have a question about the current hold or reservation policy.

No. A text alert tells you that a matching vehicle was added to inventory. It does not confirm that a particular part is still attached or guarantee that it will remain available until you arrive.

Visit the Maiden Parts Prices page before coming to the yard. You can filter the list by part name. The page shows the base price, core charge (when applicable), environmental fee, and total (before taxes).

Most parts are priced individually. An assembly may include attached components that are priced separately. Selected combination deals may be available for certain items, so ask a cashier before pulling a complete assembly if you are unsure how it will be priced.

The online price list separates the base part price from the core charge (when applicable), environmental fee, and total (before taxes). Prices and fees are subject to change. Check the current price listing or ask a cashier before pulling if you need clarification.

A core is your old part. A core charge is added to certain purchases to encourage customers to return the old part so it can be recycled, rebuilt or reused. If you return an eligible core within the allowed period, the core amount can be refunded according to the core-return requirements.

Eligible cores may be returned within 90 days of the original purchase date. You must bring the original receipt.

Bring the eligible old part and your original receipt within 90 days of purchase. If the original purchase was made by credit card, bring the same card. If that card is not available, the refund will be issued as store credit.

No. A core does not need to be in working condition, but it must meet the return requirements for that part category.

Yes. The wheel core must be made of the same material as the wheel purchased: aluminum for an aluminum wheel or steel for a steel wheel. A tire-disposal fee may apply if a returned wheel still has a tire attached.

Most self service auto parts are sold as pulled and are not individually tested or inspected before sale. Customers should inspect parts carefully before removing and purchasing them.

Check for visible cracks, corrosion, broken mounting points, damaged connectors, missing components and fluid leaks. Compare measurements, connectors, part numbers, engine details, trim and factory options with the part being replaced.

Most eligible parts may be exchanged or returned for store credit within 30 days of purchase, subject to the return-policy requirements. Cash refunds are not available.

Bring the original receipt. The part must have the current yard paint markings visible and must be returned complete and in the same condition in which it was purchased. Broken, altered or customer-damaged returns may not be accepted.

Yes. An eligible part may be returned at another self-service Pick-A-Part location operated by Road Tested Parts, provided it meets the standard return requirements. Bring the original receipt, and make sure the current yard paint markings remain visible on the part.

Yes. Store credit expires 365 days from the date it is issued.

No. Eligible parts returns are handled through an exchange or store credit according to the applicable policy. Cash refunds are not available.

An optional extended warranty may be available for purchase on eligible parts. It provides up to 90 days from the purchase date to exchange an eligible part or return it for store credit, subject to the warranty terms. Ask the cashier whether the option is available for the part you are buying.

No. The amount paid for the warranty itself is non-refundable.

No. Tires follow a separate 5-day return or exchange policy rather than the standard parts return period. Keep your receipt and ask a cashier about the complete tire-return requirements before purchasing.

Used batteries are tested before sale and currently include a 30-day warranty, subject to the battery warranty and return requirements. Keep your receipt and ask the cashier what remedy applies if a battery does not work during the warranty period.

RTP Pick-A-Part buys many unwanted cars, trucks, vans, SUVs and motorcycles, including wrecked, damaged, non-running and long-sitting vehicles. Acceptance depends on the vehicle details, location, condition and ownership documentation. We do not buy campers or RVs.

Yes. Many non-running vehicles and vehicles with missing parts may be considered. Be accurate about missing major components such as the engine, transmission, catalytic converter, wheels or tires because these details can affect the offer.

Yes. Free towing is available for accepted vehicles within 55 miles of the Maiden store. Submit the vehicle details and location first so the team can review the vehicle and confirm pickup availability.

A lien-free title is generally required. The title must be in your name or properly assigned or notarized to you, depending on the state that issued it. Documentation rules can vary with the vehicle's age and ownership history, so contact the Maiden team before scheduling pickup to confirm what is required for your vehicle.

In some cases, yes. If the vehicle is 12 years old or older and has no lien, RTP Pick-A-Part in Maiden may be able to purchase it without a title. You will need to provide an old vehicle registration and a valid photo ID as proof of ownership. The team must review and approve the ownership documents before purchasing the vehicle.

No. A bill of sale by itself is not accepted as sufficient proof of ownership.

Call or text the Maiden team at (828) 673-8433 before arranging pickup. You may need to obtain a duplicate title from the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles or provide other approved ownership documents, depending on the vehicle and state records.

Yes. Provide complete details for each vehicle so the team can review and quote them separately.

Yes. If you are searching for cash for cars in Maiden, Hickory, Catawba County or the greater Charlotte area, RTP Pick-A-Part buys many junk, damaged, unwanted and non-running vehicles. Once your vehicle is accepted and the required ownership documents are approved, payment is issued by check on the spot during the scheduled pickup or drop-off. Submit your vehicle details first to receive a no-obligation offer.

An offer is based on the information you provide. It may change if the vehicle's condition, missing components, location or other important details differ from the original description. Providing complete and accurate information helps the team prepare the most accurate offer possible.

Remove personal belongings, license plates if required, toll tags, garage-door remotes and any documents you want to keep. Have the approved ownership documents and identification ready, and make sure the tow operator can safely access the vehicle.

Register the year, make and model you need on the Maiden Text Alerts page. You will receive a notification when a matching vehicle is added. Alerts identify vehicle arrivals; they do not confirm that a specific part is attached or reserve anything for you.

VIP Rewards is the customer rewards program. Members may receive points, offers or other benefits under the current program terms. Review the current VIP Rewards page or ask the Maiden team for enrollment and redemption details.

No. Vehicle Text Alerts focus on matching vehicle arrivals. VIP Rewards focuses on promotions, offers and other member benefits. Customers may choose to join either or both programs.

Check the Maiden Specials page and the Maiden location's Facebook page for current offers and promotional events.

Promotions generally cannot be combined unless the offer specifically says otherwise. Discounts usually apply only to eligible parts and not to core charges, taxes, environmental fees or disposal fees. Read the terms on the specific offer before purchasing.
