This yard grew out of one of the oldest names in Kentucky recycled parts. John Keller founded Grassy Auto Parts in 1960, and the family business, led today by Kristin Allen and her father Tim, ran Blue Grass Auto Parts here at 351 East 7th Street as a full-service location. In 2023 the family converted it to self-service and opened Bluegrass U Pull & Save: walk the rows, pull the part yourself and keep the savings.

In July 2023, Grassy and Bluegrass joined Road Tested Parts, a family of recycled auto parts businesses formed in 2021 and built around the same idea. The Lexington yard kept right on doing what it does.

In October 2026 we became RTP Pick-A-Part. That is a new name, not a new yard. Same lot, same crew, same rows of late-model vehicles, same VIP Rewards. The name now matches every Road Tested Parts self-service yard, so wherever you pull parts with us, you know what to expect.
