Chevrolet 5.3L “Vortec 5300” / LM7

This V8 engine was used in all full-size Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac trucks and SUVs made from 1999 to 2007. Over the years it has featured anywhere from 270 to 310 hp. These engines have proved useful for keeping work trucks and vehicles on the road, and are also a popular choice for putting into older GM cars since they are less expensive than the LS-engines used in newer generations. These engines can be used with:

Ford 5.0L Windsor Engine

This V8 engine was used in virtually every Ford, Lincoln and Mercury product for nearly 30 years, from 1978 to 1996. Known as the “5.0 Liter Engine,” it’s been made with anywhere from 135 to 205 hp. The Windsor Engine can be used in:

  • Ford Granada / LTD and Lincoln Continental
  • Ford Mustang / Mercury Capri
  • Ford Thunderbird / Mercury Cougar / Lincoln Mark VII

Chrysler 3.3L Engine

This V6 engine was used across the Chrysler, Plymouth and Dodge family from 1990 to 2010. It featured anywhere from 150 to 180 hp and powered millions of minivans over its time, including:

  • 1990-1993 Dodge Dynasty, Chrysler New Yorker and Chrysler Imperial
  • 1990-2010 Chrysler minivans (Plymouth Voyager, Dodge Caravan, Chrysler Town & Country)
